Gas Filter GF-150 \u2013 ABC Protection Filter for Shelters<\/h2>\n

The GF-150<\/strong> gas filter reliably protects occupants in shelters against nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) contamination<\/strong>. It prevents the ingress of radioactive dust, biological aerosols, and chemical pollutants, thereby ensuring a safe and controlled air supply. <\/p>\n

Contaminated outside air is drawn in by a fan and first passes through a particulate filter, where radioactive particles and biological agents are effectively retained. The air then flows through an activated carbon gas adsorption filter, which binds chemical contaminants. As a result, only filtered air enters the shelter. <\/p>\n

Design and Construction<\/h2>\n

The GF-150 gas filter features a robust, powder-coated steel housing<\/strong> designed for long-term use in civil and governmental shelter systems. Its solid construction enables secure floor mounting and reliable integration into high-performance ventilation systems for larger shelters. <\/p>\n

Standards, Certification, and Type Approval<\/h2>\n

The GF-150 gas filter complies with the regulations of the Federal Office for Civil Protection (BABS).<\/strong>
Type testing is carried out by the Swiss Federal Department of Defence<\/strong> (VBS)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Approvals <\/strong>(depending on manufacturer): BZS T 92-010; BZS T 89-009<\/p>\n

BSSD ensures that only tested and approved gas filters <\/strong>are used in shelter systems.<\/p>\n

Integration into Ventilation Systems<\/h2>\n

The GF-150<\/strong> gas filter is designed as a system component of the VA-150<\/a><\/strong> ventilation unit. It operates in conjunction with the VA-150 and provides the gas filtration stage for NBC<\/strong> protection within the system. This makes the GF-150 an integral part of the filtered air supply during gas filter operation. <\/p>\n

In particular, the combination of the VA-150 ventilation unit and the GF-150<\/strong> gas filter ensures compliant switching from fresh air mode to gas filter mode in accordance with BABS requirements.<\/p>\n
