Katadyn BeFree Gravity Filter System – Reliable Water Treatment Without External Power

The Katadyn BeFree Gravity Filter System provides safe and efficient drinking water treatment without pumps or electricity. Filtration is powered solely by gravity, making the system exceptionally low-maintenance, quiet, and reliable—ideal for emergency situations, outdoor use, temporary camps, or off-grid water supply.

At the core of the system is the EZ-Clean Membrane™, a hollow fiber filter with a pore size of 0.1 microns that reliably removes bacteria, cysts, and sediment from the water. With a flow rate of up to 2 litres per minute, filtered water is available within a short time. The integrated water bag features a viewing window with a measuring scale, allowing the water level to be checked easily.

The durable water bag folds down for compact transport. A sturdy carrying and hanging strap allows safe transport from the water source and secure suspension from trees or other suitable structures. The removable outlet hose features a quick-connect fitting and an automatic shut-off valve, significantly reducing the risk of cross-contamination during refilling.

Filter cleaning is simple and suitable for field use. The EZ-Clean Membrane™ is cleaned by shaking or swirling it in clean water, without the need for tools or additional equipment. Depending on water quality, the filter has a service life of up to 1,000 litres.

Filtered water can be stored in separate containers, bottles, or water bags. For long-term storage, additional water preservation is recommended to prevent microbial growth.
