Vulcan Minimal Concealable Plate Carrier – Low-Profile, Modular, and Designed for Concealed Carry

The Vulcan Minimal concealable plate carrier is a deliberately streamlined carrier system for ballistic protection. Users can wear it either as an under-shirt or over-shirt plate carrier. Its slim and compact design enables discreet use under civilian clothing while also making it suitable for tactical applications.

Depending on the configuration with soft or hard armour, the Vulcan Minimal reliably protects vital organs in the chest and back areas against ballistic and stab threats. In its basic configuration, the plate carrier serves as a pure carrying platform. At the same time, it can be flexibly expanded with ballistic inserts. This allows the carrier to adapt to different operational requirements while remaining lightweight and close-fitting.

Construction & Wearing Comfort of the Vulcan Minimal

The Vulcan Minimal concealable plate carrier is made from robust Cordura and durable polyamide webbing. This material combination provides high abrasion resistance and a long service life. At the same time, the weight remains pleasantly low at only 0.42 kg.

The cummerbund features a 10 cm wide elastic band, allowing continuous adjustment to the user’s body circumference and ensuring a close fit. It is securely attached to the plate pockets using hook-and-loop fasteners. The cummerbund also includes pockets for magazines, radios, or similar equipment.

Plate Pockets & Ballistic Compatibility

The Vulcan Minimal supports SAPI-standardised plates in sizes M (25 × 30 cm) and L (27 × 33 cm). Users simply insert the ballistic protection panels into the plate pockets and secure them with hook-and-loop fasteners.

• Size M: Soft armour or hard armour up to 2 cm thickness

• Size L: Combination of hard and soft armour or standalone plates

This provides a high degree of flexibility when configuring the protection level.

Extensions & Applications

The modular system allows numerous additional configurations. Available upgrades include padding, ID hook-and-loop panels, MOLLE surfaces, and compatible accessories such as front pouches, protection modules, or flaps.
