Safety Escape Hood SEKUR esCAPe

The SEKUR esCAPe escape hood is designed for self-rescue from hazardous environments.

This compact lifesaving device provides reliable protection in a wide range of emergency situations. The SEKUR esCAPe escape filter device is a hood-based respiratory protection system with an integrated filter that protects the respiratory system, eyes, and entire head.

The SEKUR esCAPe fire escape hood is equipped with a hood made of heat- and flame-resistant polyimide film and a combination filter. The combination filter provides protection against carbon monoxide (CO), including high concentrations of up to 10,000 ppm CO, as well as acrolein, HCl (hydrogen chloride), HCN (hydrogen cyanide/hydrocyanic acid), and P2 particles. The remaining materials are also heat-resistant and flame-retardant. The SEKUR esCAPe escape hood features a mouthpiece and nose clip, ensuring excellent sealing performance in contaminated environments.

Due to its unique mouthpiece design, the device is suitable for virtually all users, including people wearing glasses and users with beards.

Donning and Use

• Remove the adhesive tape and open the plastic housing.
• Tear open the aluminium bag at the designated opening point.
• Remove the SEKUR esCAPe escape hood from the aluminium bag. Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and bite down on it. Then close your nostrils with the nose clip.
• Pull the hood over your head and gently tighten the elastic strap around your neck.
• Breathe calmly and leave the hazardous area immediately.

Storage

• Shelf life: In its original packaging, the escape hood is maintenance-free for 6 years. With proper storage and maintenance, it can be used for up to 12 years.
• Temperature range: 0 °C to +50 °C
• Relative humidity: <80% RH

The SEKUR esCAPe fire escape hood is personal protective equipment (PPE) according to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the European Parliament, Category III, and complies with the DIN EN 403 standard.
