Augsburger Allgemeine – Making protective rooms suitable for mass use

Demand for private protective rooms has increased significantly since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression. The Berlin-based company BSSD-Defence GmbH (Bunker Schutzraum Systeme Deutschland) is responding with a modular offering: protective room components and mobile bunkers are produced in series and made accessible via an online shop. The goal is to make protection solutions not only available for large-scale projects, but also affordable and feasible for private households.
In parallel, the company is planning cooperations with DIY store partners in order to make protective room components accessible to a broader audience. In addition, the expansion of public shelters is also a focus within state civil protection concepts.
