Dräger PARAT® 7500 Fire and Industrial Escape Hood

The Dräger PARAT® 7500 fire and industrial escape hood was developed for rapid self-rescue in fire and industrial environments. It supports users in leaving hazardous areas quickly and safely in emergency situations. During escape, the hood reliably protects the wearer for at least 15 minutes against toxic fire and industrial gases, vapors, and particles.

The integrated ABEK CO P3 combination filter meets the requirements of EN 403:2004 for fire escape hoods, DIN 58647-7 for escape filter devices, and is additionally tested according to EN 14387:2004 for gas and combination filters. This makes the Dräger PARAT® 7500 particularly suitable for industrial applications, chemical plants, public facilities, and critical infrastructures.

Ready for Escape in Just Three Steps

The Dräger PARAT® 7500 is characterized by particularly intuitive and safe handling. When the packaging is opened, the filter plug is automatically released and moves the filter into its operating position independently. The hood can be put on immediately.

Thanks to the elastic inner head straps, no additional tightening is required. The user opens the packaging, removes the hood, puts it on, and immediately leaves the danger area – even without prior training.

Reliable Protection

The powerful combination filter reliably protects against:

• Toxic fire and industrial gases

• Organic, inorganic, and acidic gases (ABEK)

• Carbon monoxide (CO)

• Solid and liquid particles (P3)

Two gas-tight filter plugs seal the filter during storage. This ensures that the full filtration performance is maintained throughout the entire service life.

Long Service Life and Cost Efficiency

After eight years, the filter is replaced. This extends the total service life of the Dräger PARAT® 7500 to up to 16 years. This significantly reduces maintenance and replacement costs. After appropriate instruction, the filter replacement can be carried out easily and safely by the user.

Robust and Ergonomic at the Same Time

The Dräger PARAT® 7500 combines robust packaging with high wearing comfort. Depending on operational requirements, the device can be worn on a belt, over the shoulder, with a belt clip, or with a crocodile clip. Alternatively, wall mounting is possible. The durable packaging reliably protects the escape device against mechanical influences.

Different Packaging Variants

The Dräger PARAT® 7500 is available in two packaging variants:

• Soft Pack – dust-protected (IP5)

• Hard Case – splash-water protected (IP54)

Both variants feature viewing windows for quick inspection of filter condition and expiry date. A protective seal on the closure clearly indicates whether the packaging has already been opened.

Putting on the Escape Hood

Soft Pack:

1. Release the safety tab.
2. Open the Soft Pack.
3. Remove the escape hood.
4. Pull the escape hood over your head.
5. Check the sealing fit of the escape hood.

Hard Case:

1. Release the safety tab.
2. Open the Hard Case.
3. Remove the escape hood.
4. Pull the escape hood over your head.
5. Check the sealing fit of the escape hood.
