Function and Operating Principle
During normal ventilation operation, the ESV 3 (GP) allows the controlled removal of used air from the protected room.
In the event of a pressure wave, the valve disc is automatically pressed against the sealing surface. This closes the airflow passage within a very short time and prevents dangerous pressure forces from entering the protected area.
The valve also reacts reliably to the suction effect following an explosion and closes in the opposite direction.
After the pressure or suction phase has ended, the valve automatically returns to normal operating conditions.
